How institutions order from this range
Three different lots come out of this one category, and they rarely travel together. What to check when comparing items in this range
- Pump capacity, which the names do not carry. The three diesel-driven sets are 50, 20 and 10 cubic metres per hour at the same 2900 rpm and 20 m head. Quote by the capacity, not the product name.
- Nominal bore and pressure rating. The butterfly valve and brass gate valve are both listed at 100 mm nominal diameter; the butterfly valve is rated 10 bar and the water meter tested at 20 bar.
- Fitting family. Threaded galvanised iron, compression, and rubber-ring-joint fittings are not interchangeable. Each family has its own coupler, tee and adaptor in the table above.
- Tank material and capacity. The bladder tank is specified by fabric weight, minimum 1100 g per square metre; the collapsible tank by volume, 10,000 litres, with thermal stability from minus 30 to plus 70 C.
- Tap pattern. Economy, regular, medium and deluxe gas taps, and light, heavy, deluxe and knobbed swan neck water taps, differ by body construction rather than by thread, which is listed as half-inch BSP on the water taps that state it.
