Both benches arrive ready for lens and mirror experiments. The aluminium bench comes with more fittings, including a grating holder and a photometer, and is listed for classroom demonstration. The wooden bench gives a 1.5 m measured length with six sliding bases and a mains lamp house. Both take accessories on 6 mm rods, the standard rod size given for several of the fittings below.
