Used for
Membrane filtration of a measured water sample, where the membrane is then transferred to a plate and incubated for a coliform count. The single place suits field work and low-throughput benches rather than batch runs, and because the stand is self-standing it needs no clamp or bench fixing on site. The incubation step runs on the Portable Water Quality Test Kit, which holds the coliform incubator; chlorine and pH are read separately on the Emergency Water Testing Kit. Raw water reaching the stand is often pre-filtered through a Water Filter, Candle Type.
